Copleston Church and Community Centre
The Reception children embarked on a fantastic trip to Copleston. A local Church and Community Centre. The sun was beaming down on the children, staff and parents as we set off on foot to Copleston Church. As we arrived, we were greeted by Jo, one of the guides who took us inside and gave us a brief introduction to the Church, which has been a part of this community since 1881! Now providing a vital community service as well as a place of worship, Copleston Church is a landmark centre to this community.
Jo told us all about the beautiful stained glass windows in the church and showed us the amazing and “huge” bible! She also walked us through the process of communion. The children ended the day with a quick sing song in the church followed by a relaxing stroll with parents back to school.
We took a plethora of pictures during our visit, which you can see in the gallery below. Please click on the thumbnails for a larger view. We would like to take this opportunity to firstly thank Jo for having us, and also to say a huge thanks to the parents that joined us today. We hope that you enjoyed the trip.
