Dear Parents and Carers,
We are so excited to be able to welcome back all pupils on Monday 8th March. We know that they have missed their friends and their teachers and we have certainly missed them! From Science Week and Red Nose Day to International Women’s Day, there will a range of exciting learning for children to take part in. Understandably, some children may find the change in routine difficult. We encourage a good sleep routine over the next couple of days so that children are well rested and ready for their return to school. We have also emailed a return to school survey, which we would encourage all children to complete.
Children will continue to enjoy hot and nutritious meals at lunchtime. We are following the Autumn, Winter menu – Week 3 which can be found on our website and here.
As children are spending more time indoors, it is inevitable that many are spending more time accessing on-line content. In school, we teach children about staying safe on line. The Government guidance ‘Coronavirus (COVID-19): keeping children safe online’ has also been updated and contains advice and guidance to help parents/carers keep children safe online during the pandemic. The guidance can be accessed here.
As always the health and safety of the community is our priority and we all need to work together to keep each other safe. Please, please adhere to social distancing and arrive at your allotted time. If you need to speak with teachers regarding your child, please email them directly.
Thank you once again for your continued support and kind words over the last few months. Take care and stay safe. DKH community is in this together!
