In the Autumn Term, Eucalyptus Class had cricket lessons with Platform Cricket (an organisation whose goal is to develop London’s children in and through cricket). Following these sessions, Eucalyptus Class were invited to an inter-school tournament, so we made our way down to Ruskin Park on Tuesday
All three teams did fantastically with one team coming third and taking home a bronze medal each. Additionally, Enzo and Mikayla were highlighted as two of the five players who caught the judge’s attention. Many of the matches had scores in the 200s and with only a couple of points between the two teams. Eucalyptus showed great sporting spirit throughout the tournament.
Platform Cricket have a local hub (Denmark Hill Dynamos) who run free cricket sessions at Ruskin Park, 7pm – 8pm on Fridays. Come on down if you are interested.
