We are honoured to have the Morrison’s Community Champion – Peckham, Rose Morgan BEM (British Empire Medal) in joint partnership with the Met Police PC Wallace, mentoring some of our pupils, to raise aspirations, raise confidence, provide positive role modelling and support transitions.
A little bit about Rose Morgan:
Earlier this year, Rose shared an idea called ‘Seeds of Hope’ with Morrison’s Chief Executive David Potts. This idea would go on to be launched in all Morrison’s stores across England, Scotland and Wales. It was aimed at helping customers plant hope for a brighter future as lockdown restrictions started to ease.
‘Seeds of Hope’ grew into something special and saw customers and communities receive over 2.5 million free packets of sunflower seeds, giving hope to the nation and helping to lift community spirit by getting people, both young and old, outdoors planting. Rose inspired over 500 Community Champions to lead Seeds of Hope in their local communities, giving seeds to local primary schools, care homes and community groups to name a few.
Rose is an inspiration to her local community in Peckham and to Morrison’s Community Champions across the nation. Her positive energy and dedication to helping others is something she’s widely recognised for. Always finding new and impactful ways to support and celebrate others, she is a force for good in Peckham, supporting numerous charities and community groups each and every week. We were delighted to welcome her to DKH and look forward to working with her in the future! Learn more about Seeds of Hope HERE!
