Hazel Class new focus book is called “The Chocolate Tree”, which is an ancient Mayan folktale on how chocolate was introduced to humans.
This links very closely to our History topic on The Mayans. To start this unit, we role played the story of The Chocolate Tree then we wrote a direct address to the reader.
