On Thursday, we celebrated World Book Day! Many children came to school dressed in costumes. Parents were invited in to Years 1, 2 and 3 for a Reading Cafe, where they could read with their children.
Ms Poppy Sketchley recorded herself reading a story in Spanish for all of our children to listen to! We have also welcomed lots of our parents into classes to be ‘Secret Readers’ for their child’s classes. If you are still interested, you are more than welcome to book in with Miss Grant to pop into read a story for your child’s class! We also raised lots of money in our Bake Sale after school to raise money for books for our classrooms. Thank you so much to the School Council for helping run the sale and to all those who donated cakes!
We also ran 2 Reading Competitions. One where children were asked to read in ‘unusual’ places and one to create a shoe box story! We will announce the winners on Monday next week!
