Last week, Beech class visited the Horniman Museum and Gardens and took part in a workshop about Ancient Egypt.
Children learnt more about the history of Ancient Egypt and had the opportunity to handle real Ancient Egyptian artefacts, some of which were thousands of years old! Amongst the items were Egyptian papyrus, a marble scarab beetle, shabtis and even a mummified falcon! Children wore special gloves when holding the artefacts to help protect and preserve the objects.
