Year 6 had an amazing treat to bring their studies into World War 2 to a close as they had the opportunity to take part in a fun workshop, which looked at living and working during this period.
The children got to dress up in traditional army fatigues and learnt some basic maneuvers practiced in the army, better known as drilling. This involves standing to attention, marching, saluting, and weapon maneuvers. They also learnt how to get a patient out of the field via a stretcher. Year 6 had a great time learning all about the War.
We took some pictures during the workshop, which can be seen in the gallery below. Please click on the thumbnails for a larger view.
