In English this week, we have been learning about Aesop fables like The Tortoise and the Hare and the Fox and the Crow.
Together, we discussed the morals of the story and messages behind them. Children practised retelling fables orally before writing them into their books. We continued reading Cinderella and the Nile and learnt more about Aesop, a character in the story. We learnt about Ecuador’s culture, its diverse landscape and wildlife.
We created sloth pictures and began a Science enquiry to find out how finch birds in the Galapagos Islands adapted to suit their environment and food sources around them.
