To ensure our children are safe we will only release them to persons aged 16 years or older. We are following the NSPCC guidance that suggests that only persons aged 16 years are typically old enough to take responsibility for younger children. We understand that this might mean that families have to make arrangements, so would encourage you to do so as soon as possible and by the very latest at the end of this half term. Please see our Collecting Children from School Policy on the school website for more information. Please remember to inform staff if a different person is collecting your child.
Independent Travel
We only permit Year 5 and 6 children to be independent travellers as long as we have written consent. This privilege may be withdrawn if children behave in an unsafe way when travelling to
and from school.
We understand that parents might wish for their children to travel independently now that summer is near, if you have not already provided written consent, please collect a form from the school office.
