Science Week at DKH Primary!
Change and Adaption: 10th – 14th March 2025
We’re very excited to announce a fun filled Science Week ahead at DKH Primary School, centred around the theme Change and Adaption!
Get ready for a week packed with hands-on workshops and exciting experiments – everyone will have the chance to wear their lab coats and explore the wonders of Science.
We’re also extremely lucky to welcome a special visitor “Safari Pete” who will introduce us to a variety of wildlife and teach us about their incredible adaptions. Don’t miss out on the Science Week Raffle happening on Monday for a chance to win an amazing science themed prize! Plus, we will be holding a whole school science poster competition, so start brainstorming your best ideas!
To wrap up the week, on Friday, we’ll be having a Science Week Mufti Day, where children and staff can dress up according to how science makes them feel, as their favourite scientist, or in a way that’s science-related! It is going to be a week full of fun learning, and discovery – be sure to join us!
Highlights for the week:
- Monday: Science Week assembly and Raffle after school – 3:30-4:15pm
- Tuesday: Design an experiment as a class
- Wednesday: Conduct experiment
- Thursday: Safari Pete sessions with KS1-KS2
- Friday: STEAM Dress Up Day (children can bring a £1 donation, this can support funding for Year 6 end of year performance) and classroom adaptation workshops to be undertaken.
