On Wednesday 13th December, our year 5 and 6 children performed a selection of Carols from “Wassail” by Alexander L’Estrange for parents and carers. Wassail! is a sequence of choral arrangements of uplifting traditional carols, both sacred and secular. It also includes one new song by Joanna & Alexander L’Estrange, Spring will come again. Wassail/wassailing itself means many things: a drink, a cup, a dance, a celebration, carol-singing.
The children sang beautifully as did the parents for our finale, The Twelve Days of Christmas. Well done to you all! We took some pictures of our talented children and our amazing Brass Band who were also performing for us today. For a larger view, please click on the thumbnails below.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr Dixon, our music teacher for doing such an amazing job. He even taught our children to speak Latin for one of the songs! We would also like to thank our hard working staff who always do so much to help make these performances as magical as they possibly can be.
