It’s Tuesday at DKH Primary School, which means “Edible Rotherhithe” Day! Unfortunately the weather let us down again; however, this didn’t stop our amazing gardening team from getting on with some creative green fingered activities.
The week, the children were tasked with decorating some seed envelopes and then filling them with Sunflower seeds ready to be shipped off to schools around the borough who aren’t as lucky as we are to have access to an amazing gardening space such as our allotment. As you can see in the pictures below, as well as colourful decorations, the children added some messages of encouragement to the recipients of the seeds to help them along on their growing journey. We do hope that the children receiving the seeds send us some pictures of their amazing Sunflowers once they have bloomed.
