Anyone for cricket? Platform Cricket that is…We have had a very special sporty visit at DKH Primary this week from the amazing people at “Platform Cricket”.
Platform Cricket deliver in-school coaching programmes in the form of a “pop up” cricket club that allows access to community cricket for children in areas with little to no existing provision. This movement has been designed to help bring children into the sport.
The Platform Cricket Mission:
- Increase the number of children in London participating in cricket
- Increase the amount of children from disadvantaged and ethnic minority backgrounds participating in cricket
- Support personal and social development through cricket
As you can see in the pictures below, the children thoroughly enjoyed the experience and look forward to getting more involved in the sport. You never know. We may have the next England fast bowler amongst us!
